Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2009

March 28th, 2009

Woke up early in the morning, switch on my email and found that I have received an email from SINGAPORE GP. It says that I’ve been randomly selected from their database to load test their system and purchase tickets before the public release.

After enduring the “not so pleasant” squeezing and the straining to catch a little bit of action during last year F1 grand prix, I’ve decided to take this opportunity to purchase the best and cheapest grandstand seats before they are all sold out (which I’m pretty sure WOULD be the first to sold out).

Instead of $298, the early bird discount is at $248, which is very worth it considering the seats I’ve got.

The red circle is where I will be sitting.

Event    :    Bay Grandstand - 3 Days Pass
Date    :    Fri, 25 Sep 2009 01:00 PM
Venue    :    Bay Grandstand
Seat    :    Dark Blue A, Row : 7, Seat(s): 5, 6,

The seats allows me to catch the two bends the mean machines would be turning, which is pretty much the best and cheapest seats for the course. :)

Mt Kota Kinabalu The Ascent

February 25th, 2009

Finally, after months of waiting, its finally here… Tomorrow I will be leaving Singapore for Mt Kota Kinabalu. This will be my first ascent (hopefully more to come). As of now, I have yet to fully recover from fever, flu, cough and sort throat. I only pray that God will give me the strength to go on!

For items, I will be carrying only one backpack which consists of some clothing, headlamp, gloves, beanie, petroleum gel, 1 x army water bottle, and a walking stick. Should be enough.

Stay tuned for more updates, I will be posting pictures on Sunday. :)

No more Blog down a new word from the dictionary everyday

February 22nd, 2009

I realised that blogging a word from the dictionary will just clog up all my entries in the blog. Hence, I will be stopping resolution no. 14 from today onwards and focus on other resolutions.

In addition, I am also having spam problems with my blog entries, comments being posted by spam bots online. I will try some way to stop the spam without disabling the blog comments function.

Paintball on 11/01/09

January 15th, 2009

On 11/01/09, Sunday, I fulfilled one of my brick walls, which is to play in a paintball game. The game was played at Bottle Tree Park between my colleagues. In total, we played 3 games, amassing few hundred over shots. The game certainly looks enjoyable, but in reality, the painful sensation of being hit by a paintball.. I would say, much more painful than a paper bullet.

After the game, I found that that I have several bruises from the shots and it was not a pretty sight to say the least. A painful experience, but also an exciting one. And I’m glad that I’ve finally done it :)

That’s me in the center, and also wearing the army brown tee in several shots.

Here are some of the pictures:

New brick walls

January 7th, 2009

I have added two more brick walls.

15. Participate in a Paintball shootdown
16. Rollerblading

I have never tried paintball and rollerblading. Both are something that I wished to do but never got to doing it. I guess 2009 is not a bad year to get started. :)

Mount Kinabalu

January 5th, 2009

I have climbed Mount Ophir when I was 14 years old. During the trip, those seasoned climbers said to me that since I have climbed Mount Ophir, the next one should probably try Mount Kinabalu. That was 15 years ago. Now, how time flies?

Step 1 is to stop dreaming and sign up. Step 2 is to just do it in 2009. Feb 26-29, 2009.
